DIY Door strap

This tutorial addresses an issue you’ve most likely experienced living on the road: keeping your door open while camping in a windy spot. We have a couple of those and they allow us to have various configurations. We’ve also used these straps for other things in the van, they always come handy.

Coucou Liberté ("Hello Freedom") is the name Maggy and Gilles gave to their travel blog. This french couple has been living out of their self-built vintage Mercedes 410D van, Pépère, since 2018. Their copilot is a beautiful cat named "Minoutte".

Maggy, a graphic designer and illustrator, has been working as a freelancer since moving into the van full-time. A passionate maker, she started putting together tutorials to help people build their own Vanlife essentials from scratch.
