DIY Strainer

Just like us, you probably already had a strainer in your van. But they’re always too large, they take unnecessary space and are always a pain to wash, especially on the road. With this design, and stores flat, and it’s way easier to clean than the plastic or mesh ones.

Coucou Liberté ("Hello Freedom") is the name Maggy and Gilles gave to their travel blog. This french couple has been living out of their self-built vintage Mercedes 410D van, Pépère, since 2018. Their copilot is a beautiful cat named "Minoutte".

Maggy, a graphic designer and illustrator, has been working as a freelancer since moving into the van full-time. A passionate maker, she started putting together tutorials to help people build their own Vanlife essentials from scratch.
